The curtain falls on cat season – the cattery – Geelong Cats unofficial site

Geelong Cats v Melbourne Demons, 2021 AFL Preliminary Final, Ben Jensen GEELONG suffered its worst loss of the season losing eighty-three points in Melbourne. Dees’ skipper Max Gawn put on a show scoring six goals while for Geelong only Jeremy Cameron had more than one, Tom Hawkins had one and Gary Rohan none. The Cats trailed with 26 points in the quarter and while they scored four goals in the second quarter, so did the Dees, slightly increasing their lead. It was the third quarter where the game really broke out scoring eight unanswered goals, including four against Gawn alone. The Cats’ season and maybe some careers are over, but for the Demons, their dream of becoming Prime Minister continues to face the first West Bulldogs 2016 in the grand finale on Saturday, September 25.

About the Author

Ben jensen

THE CHATERIE started as a labor of love, and remains, by creator and main contributor Ben Jensen in mid-season 2002. His goal was to create the best “unofficial” Geelong Football Club site on the net. . Consultant by day and webmaster by night, he created his first website in 1996 while studying engineering and science at Deakin University in Geelong at the time. After a very brief (on purpose!) Stint in creating web-based operating manuals for water installations, the certified engineer quickly decided it was time he combined his love of the Cats with his skills and that he “tries” to do what he hoped to do. would be one of the best unofficial sites in Geelong. Ben has no recollection of NOT supporting the mighty Cats, let alone when he started barracks for the team wearing the blue and white hoops. Most of Ben’s family support Geelong; even Sydney’s cousins. Sadly, he got married into a mixed family of Carlton and Essendon fans, but he retains the first and final rights to any offspring. One of his earliest memories is of his father explaining the rules of the game by drawing a large oval football field and drawing the positions in each spot, with “JACKO” all the way forward. The rest of those early memories revolve around Gary Ablett Senior, Billy Brownless (his very first official favorite player) and Garry ‘Buddha’ Hocking. After living elsewhere in Victoria and overseas, Ben has remained proud of his Geelong roots and never misses an opportunity to show his allegiance, and especially enjoys walking around the top of Collins Street on a Monday morning after a tie victory. Geelong and maybe even a jacket and scarf on special occasions. Living again in Geelong after fifteen years of absence. Ben would love to hear your comments, suggestions and hopefully contributions to La Chatterie.
