St Giles Animal Rescue dog show at Hatch Beauchamp

IT promises to be lots of family fun at a fundraising dog show in aid of St Giles Animal Rescue.

Some of the charity’s rescue dogs will make an appearance at the event at Hatch Beauchamp Village Hall and Playgrounds on Sunday, September 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

As well as over 15 different local stalls, St Giles will have its own stalls which will host a raffle, items to buy, entertainment and games to get involved.

There will also be dog ice cream on sale at Taunton Dairy Parlor and refreshments for humans.

All money raised from the event will go to all animals in the care of St Giles, who are based in Wrantage.

Mel O’Sullivan from the charity said: “Due to Covid we have not been able to hold this event for some time so we are very happy to see as many faces as possible during the event and to support the work we do.

“We will also have a few of our rescue dogs joining us at some point during the day to say hello.”

Among the day’s activities are dog agility and training tips; alley of temptation; a raffle with fabulous prizes including a £100 Amazon gift card and an M&S basket; tap or drink, face painting; glitter tattoos; and hang a duck.

All dog show classes can be entered the same day.

Admission is £2 out of £5 for families.

St Giles Animal Rescue looks after and cares for abused, abandoned and displaced pets including dogs, cats, small animals and even sheep.

All animals are ready for adoption once they have been treated, trained and prepared for a better life – find out which animals are available on the center’s Animals for Adopt page on its website.

As a charity, St Giles relies on people’s support and that of its sponsors to help cover vet, boarding and food costs.

It is interesting for supporters to buy dinner for a dog, knit a blanket for the cattery or bake buns to raise funds.
