SSPCA appeal for cat food at Edinburgh and Lothians Animal Rescue and Placement Center

The center is currently caring for 55 cats in the cattery, and the SSPCA says it lacks essential food.
Most of these animals cannot be relocated because they are involved in ongoing legal proceedings or are receiving veterinary care.
However, the charity says the food can be purchased from the centre’s Amazon Wish List or through any other online retailer that offers direct delivery to the center.
Center director Diane Aitchison said: âWe need essential food for the cats we care for.
âWe are always extremely busy at the center and have a lot of hungry mouths to feed, most of whom take three meals a day.
âWe need Sheba Jelly Cat Food and Whiskas Junior Jelly Cat Food.
âThis food helps cats like Martina stay happy and healthy until they find their forever home.
âWe are very grateful for your support so that we can continue to provide the best possible care for the animals at our center.
“We would be very grateful for any donation people can save and we know cats will too.”
Cat food can be donated through the center’s Amazon wishlist here: https://amzn.to/3mLGMA4 or sent by another online retailer who can deliver. Items can also be left in the donation bins outside the center at Mansfield Rd, Edinburgh, Balerno EH14 7JU.
