SOS cattery manager
PAWS-PATAS is in desperate need of someone to lead the 16 dedicated cattery volunteers.
âWant to join a great team, make new friends and receive huge satisfaction and furry love? Asked Chrissie Cremore, vice president of the charity for animals.
“We need someone who adores kittens and cats while continuing our mission of caring for and resettling them.”
âWe would teach you our computer system and Spanish would be helpful but not essential. This is a volunteer position, but we would be prepared to pay the expenses incurred.
PAWS-PATAS needs someone who is fit, dedicated, determined, conscientious and able to work two seven-hour shifts per week.
Transportation would be needed to reach the refuge between Turre and Las Buganvillas, but those over 25 would have access to the association’s van and car.
Functions include:
Liaise with volunteers to ensure shifts are covered and specialized food and medications are purchased
Make vet appointments for vaccinations, sterilization and consultations, and authorize vet payments
Update of the animal database, reply to e-mails.
Promote placement and adoption on Facebook and the PAWS-PATAS website and carry out home checks
Collaborate and partner with host families and possibly get involved in fundraising events
