Marketing of boarding schools and catteries
Blacks Business Brokers was appointed to market a kennel and cattery in rural Nottinghamshire.
Kirkby Kennels & Cattery near Kirkby-in-Ashfield, which has been in existence for over 50 years, offers 33 kennels and eight cattery spaces. It was acquired by its current owners, David and Pamela Ibrahim, in 2015.
The company operates from two buildings, which include a reception area and pet food and accessories store, as well as specially designed pet accommodation, located on one acre of land. The land also houses a detached four bedroom bungalow with double garage, which is included in the sale.
The property is being marketed at a guide price of £ 649,995.
Callum Pollard, Head of Customer Service at Blacks Business Brokers, said: âKirkby Kennels & Cattery has established a solid and loyal customer base for over half a century, and the inclusion of a large residential property in the sale means that a new owner not only have a turnkey business but also a new home or, possibly, a manager’s home.
âThere is also room to expand the business, which currently has more demand than it can accommodate during the summer months. Considering the size of the plot, 30 more kennels could easily be added, and a concerted marketing campaign could further increase the demand-turn year.
âThere has arguably never been a better time to invest in a business like this. With huge pent-up demand for overseas vacations, all of these new pets will need to be cared for as restrictions on trip are lifted and their owners are heading to the airport. “
