Twitter users were reporting issues with the social media site on Thursday evening.

Tweeters were unable to browse the site, post tweets or even log into the platform.

According to Down Detector, the problems started just after 6:30 p.m., with people complaining that they couldn’t load the app or website.

Issues with the social media site have been recorded across the UK on Down Detector, including in London, Cardiff and Nottingham.

Of the issues reported, 56% were related to issues with the app, while 39% were related to issues with the website.

An additional 5% of issues were related to the Twitter feed.

According to the heat map, the worst affected areas are London and Cardiff.
