Every cat has its day, and three of them certainly did!

It’s supposed to be “a dog’s life,” but judging by the APAA’s latest conquest, “every cat has its day.” Well, at least three of them certainly did.

‘Marmaduke’, pictured with new owner Andrea, now in luxury. His companions, ‘Puffy’ and ‘Sootie’, have also found new homes. One went to his old friend, the cleaner, and the other to a client of the cattery in which they were staying. Thanks to APAA’s Facebook editor, Lisa, and Trevor. Trevor runs Colonies for Felines in Ferragudo. We covered the furry “trio” a few months ago. But it shows that time is on our side. Congratulations to all !

Marmaduke and Andrea

‘Lilly’, on the other hand, is still a “Madame d’honneur”. After suffering an almost tragic traffic accident and surviving major surgery, she was relocated by Joaquim. Happy days… until unfortunately the generous Joaquim had to be relocated. “But they don’t take dogs…”

‘Lilly’ is a special pet, she does not mix with other dogs, she is a doggie for a man or a woman, as the case may be. But companionship, loyalty and love are a welcome return.

To give ‘Lily’ a loving home, contact Caroline England at Pet Park in Mexilhoeira Grande ([email protected], www.petparkpethotel.com, Facebook: Pet Park Hotel). Why not set aside some time and visit not only ‘Lilly’, but also ‘Ela’ or ‘Dusty?’.

Jackie’s Posh Tea Party celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s 70th birthdaye Platinum Jubilee was sold out. Anita’s bake sale, which included savory and sweet treats, was packed. But don’t worry, APAA’s ‘Pop-Up Queen’ Anita will be back at Recanto dos Mouros, a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Silves’ panoramic countryside. So, on your Friday June 24 diaries, there will be paintings, gadgets and gadgets at bargain prices, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Pre-book lunch (1pm) with Jenny at [email protected]

Dig into the pockets

The helping hands of APAA “Here to Help” are doing their best in these very difficult times. Please donate unwanted items to their charity shops. Don’t forget that all the goodies will be on sale in their shops and during our Pop-Up events. Someone’s unwanted gift is another person’s precious treasure!

Lip licking time

A little birdie said that if you want to be “royally” fed, the APAA can stand up to the plate. Special lunch, brunch, dinner or tea? Nothing better than relaxing with friends, at home, and being served, feet and fists. Plan, buy, prepare, cook everything is done. No dishes. Call Jenny 919 041 903 or email [email protected] Bring it on!
