Come y’all, come y’all to the ‘Carnival for the Cattery’ in Bay County

BAY CITY, MI — Those looking forward to summer carnival season can get their feet wet this weekend while helping shelter animals in Bay County with a special “cat carnival.”

A group of Roberts Scholarship students from Saginaw Valley State University will partner with Bay County to host a unique fundraising event to raise money for the Bay County Animal Services and Adoption Center.

The “Carnival for the Cattery” is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 at the Bay County Fairgrounds, 800 Livingston Street in Bay City.

The fundraiser will support renovations to the cattery, organizers said.

The carnival will include games such as Jenga, cornhole, ladder golf, ring toss and more.

The cost is $3 per game. All proceeds support the shelter, organizers said.

Microchipping will also be available for pets from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a $15 fee.
