Aldi shoppers say 69p tea is ‘better than sleeping pills’

Aldi and Lidl buyers beware; a unique opportunity has arisen that will pay people to shop in the middle aisle.

There’s no doubt that the two budget supermarkets are the kings of mid-aisle shopping; whether it’s Lidl-branded trainers you’re looking for or a hanging egg chair for your cat, you’re bound to find them floating down their middle aisles.

And now you could potentially earn some extra cash walking the famous aisles with an exciting new ‘work’ opportunity through the savings platform. WeThrift.

Research by the platform recently revealed that a number of mid-aisle products are bought solely to be whipped online, with an average resale price of £27.66 for Lidl items and £11.53 for those of Aldi.

So, in order to prevent this from happening, WeThrift is now looking for three people to scour these sections of the supermarket to identify the next trending sale buys before the stockists.

The job posting reads: “Chosen shoppers will be expected to source and purchase the latest must-have bargains from Lidl and Aldi, so that customers who were unable to purchase them locally in-store can purchase them online via our site for the same price.”

Successful candidates must be flexible and able to work remotely for the role, which offers a great rate of £30 an hour and £500 to spend on mid-aisle items. The only other requirements are that all applicants must be at least eighteen years old, have access to a computer or smartphone and be able to visit at least one Lidl, Aldi and Sainsbury’s store.

Nick Drewe, Founder of WeThrift, said: “In the UK we know people have an affinity for reselling stuff, whether it’s old sofas, second-hand trainers or the Kevin soft toy. Aldi’s carrot, if there is any money to be made for the British entrepreneur. people will sell it.

“However, sometimes a product is particularly popular in one area, so hundreds of consumers may miss it. We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to purchase a converted mid-aisle product.

“Our hope is to have all applicants confirmed by mid-February, so if you enjoy browsing the center aisle of a discount supermarket, please contact us.”

Applications for the position close on February 11 and successful candidates will be selected by February 18.

If you think you are up to it, you can send your application to the We Thrift website.
